O.G.H. Savage

The Lives of Animals is the story of how, having set out to be a proper writer in in the summer of 2025, I was thwarted by a very specific form of procrastination: that which manifested as an incredibly strong desire to draw existential animal cartoons.

As a result, I ended up with this 32-page, RISO-printed illustrated comedy zine, complete with 26 animal cartoons and a sprawling ten-thousand word experimental and humorous essay which unapologetically weaves and wafts between subjects – which include: corruption, music, ex-Prince Andrew, Darth Trump, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Physics, Darth Musk, the Ladmosphere, God, dating, anxiety, claustrophobia, and the French (to name just a few).

“Probably the best series of animal-driven mini-essays ever self-published.”
