I’m a Londoner based in Copenhagen and I like to do a combination of writing and drawing. I have a whole (very small) universe on the go, including drawings, a newsletter featuring pieces of comical writing, and even a podcast about a man attempting to record a podcast, often badly. My work has been described as ‘seriously funny’ and also ‘dilly’ (a mixture of deep and silly).Â
My writing has been published in Farsight Magazine, my Illustrated Guide to Shirking from Home was featured in The Idler, and several of my cartoons have made it into Philosophy Now magazine; plus my short story about how I ate a famous footballer’s leftover popcorn was recently long listed for the New Writer’s 100-Word Writing Competition.Â
After making a zine called An Illustrated Guide to Shirking from Home last summer, I became obsessed with drawing cartoons about animals experiencing existential issues – the obsession has waned, but I ended up with fifty! I made loads of postcards, prints, mugs, and a whole zine about the animals, a story of obsession. And most recently I made a zine called Restless Greg Syndrome and Other Nominatively Determined Maladies. All of these are RISO-printed from Vildnis, a collective I am a part of In Nørrebro, Copenhagen.
I am happy to have my zines, postcards and prints in the following Copenhagen shops:Â
Kræess
Spektakel Press
Super Books CPH
Ark Books
Emmylou CafeÂ
And equally happy to have them in these ones in the UK:
Good Press (Glasgow)
Housmans (London)
Freedom Press (London)
Typewronger Books (Edinburgh)
